HAITI JUST RECOVERY TRIP

UU Church of Savannah Service Learning Trip

Sponsored and Led by

the UU College of Social Justice, a joint program of the

Unitarian Universalist Association and the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.

“On this weeklong trip, participants will work with members of the Papaye Peasant Movement (MPP), a UUSC partner, on projects to help former Port-au-Prince residents build new lives in rural Haiti. Every day, you will work with Haitian peasants to build new homes, construct food gardens from old tires, or contribute to other sustainability

projects.”

The trip includes significant time for both work and reflection together as a congregational group, so will be a powerful way not only to make a difference in this community in Haiti,

but in our Church community here in Savannah and individual faith lives.

Information on requirements, logistics and costs, in packet on table in Rahn Hall and for full detail go on the website at: http://uucsj.org/programs/haiti/

The trip will take place April 13-20, 2012
