The Adult Choir rehearses in the sanctuary Wednes- day nights from 6-8pm between late August and mid June. This volunteer vocal ensemble strives to en- hance worship by singing choral anthems and helping Kelly lead Sunday morning hymns and service music. The ability to sing on pitch and read music – and vocal ensemble experience– are qualities that we seek, but we also welcome fast learners!

The Children’s Choir sings 4-6 times per year on Sunday mornings between September and June. They rehearse 2-3 times in the sanctuary after church and RE (12:45 – 1:15 pm) before each performance. All children in the age range are welcome. No ex- perience necessary.

If you love to sing, but you’re not interested in choir or can’t commit to regular choir rehearsals, there’s a place for you at UU Savannah. Perhaps you might like to sing a solo for Sun- day worship – or visit a UU Savannah member who is ill and sing a special song for them. If this kind of music ministry ap- peals to you, you may request an informal meeting and audi- tion with the music director. In that meeting, you and the di- rector will collaborate to determine your level of interest, avail- ability and proficiency...and find the best fit for your talents.

If you play an instrument at a level proficient to perform in Sunday services or performance events, you can be a part of this group. There are no scheduled meetings, but we’ll put you on a roster of folks who want to be involved in making music at UU Savannah. Based on your level of talent and interest—and your availability for ad hoc rehearsals—we can find a place for you as a musician. You may request an informal meeting and audition with the music di- rector. In that encounter, you and the director will ex- plore ways in which you can share your artistry.
